Why Used EVs Need Battery Diagnostics
This episode explains why independent EV battery diagnostics may become essential infrastructure for used electric vehicle resale markets.
The used EV market is not waiting for better batteries. It is waiting for trusted battery evidence.
Aviloo’s relevance comes from a simple structural fact: the most expensive component in an electric vehicle is also the least legible component in a resale transaction. Mileage, model year, and warranty status are insufficient. Battery state of health determines range, charging behavior, and residual value.
The institutional point is not that every consumer needs more data. It is that marketplaces, insurers, dealers, leasing companies, and lenders cannot efficiently price a used EV market without independent verification.
The EU battery passport will increase transparency expectations. It will not automatically solve trust. Raw data still requires verification, interpretation, and transaction-grade credibility.
